It will compete with the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon EV. MG Motor has introduced the battery rental option to make its EV affordable. This has reduced the starting price of the company’s lowest-priced electric car Comet EV to Rs 4.99 lakh. For this, customers will have to pay a price of Rs 2.5 per kilometer.
The Windsor EV has connected LED lights on both the front and rear. It has 18-inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics. There is an MG logo below the connected LED DRL strip in its front. It has a charging port on the front left fender. This electric crossover utility vehicle is available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black. Its cabin has been designed keeping in mind the experience of both luxury and technology. It has black leatherette seats. Its flat bottom steering wheel is also wrapped in leatherette. Bookings for the Windsor EV will start from October 3 and delivery from October 12. It has reclining seats in the rear. The Windsor EV has a 15.6 touchscreen on its dashboard. Along with this, an 8.8-inch digital display has been provided for the driver.
It also has features like automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, powered driver seat and panoramic glass roof. Its 38 kWh battery generates 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Its range on a single charge is about 331 kilometers. Early customers of Windsor EV will get full warranty on the battery.
