Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the president of Egypt, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, are ready to start a new chapter of friendly ties. El-Sisi will meet Erdogan in Ankara on September 4. The Egyptian President’s visit to Anakara came after Erdogan visited Cairo in February. Turkey and Egypt have had a decade-long frosty relationship. However, the ties improved over the past two years, especially after Israel waged war in Gaza.
