Google CEO Sunder Pichai Praises PM Narendra Modi for AI Vision for India

The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently returned from a three-day US visit. Meanwhile, during a conference in New York, PM Modi met several tech CEOs. After a recent meeting with PM Modi, Google CEO Sundar Pichai praised his efforts for AI development in India, India’s technology and digital projects.

Pichai said that “The Prime Minister has focused on transforming India with his Digital India vision. He said that PM Modi has encouraged us to continue manufacturing and designing in India. He is thinking about how AI can transform India in a way that will bring maximum benefit to the people of India. He has always challenged us to do more.”

Where NVIDIA CEO and a well-known personality in AI computing Jensen Huang also interacted with PM Modi. He said that Modi is very interested in understanding AI. Huang said that “Modi is an excellent student, who is always eager to learn about technology, AI, new capabilities and opportunities for India and the impact on Indian society and industry.” Huang acknowledged the country’s contribution in the field of computer science and praised India’s status as a global power of technological talent.

The Modi government has focused on boosting India’s digital infrastructure along with promoting technology. The government’s main focus is on AI under the Digital India initiative, which aims to advance India’s infrastructure, boost the economy and make technology easily accessible to millions of citizens. The initiative has attracted global tech giants including Google and NVIDIA. The Prime Minister is looking to partner to advance India’s digital and AI capabilities.
