what time do you get up
In Ayurveda, the best time to wake up in the morning is considered to be Brahma Muhurta i.e. 04 to 04:30 in the morning. But in any case, leave the bed before sunrise. After doing moral activities, doing yoga, light exercise and pranayama etc. when the sun comes out is very beneficial in winter. By doing this the body remains warm and the immunity also becomes stronger.
What should be the daily routine?
Lukewarm water should be used in winter season. In Ayurveda, massaging with sesame or mustard oil before bathing is considered beneficial. This provides relief from skin dryness, joint pain and fatigue. Taking bath with lukewarm water after massage makes the body feel refreshed.
Breakfast should be taken between 08 to 09 o’clock. In winter, warm and nutritious things like milk, porridge, ghee roti, poha, moong dal cheela and upma should be consumed. Along with this, dry fruits like walnuts, almonds and raisins should be included in the diet, this provides plenty of energy to your body.
lunch and dinner
You should have lunch between 12 and 1 pm. According to Ayurveda, the digestive fire is strongest at this time. Eat home cooked food in the afternoon. Lunch should include pulses, seasonal vegetables, roti, rice, ghee and buttermilk. Eating rotis made of jowar, millet and maize in winter makes the body strong from within. You can have light breakfast between 4 to 5 in the evening. One should always have light and timely dinner between 6 to 7 pm.
sleep time at night
According to health experts, 7-8 hours of sleep is necessary for a normal person. Therefore one should sleep before 10 pm. Because watching TV or mobile till late night in winter weakens the body. At the same time, adopting Ayurvedic routine regularly brings positive energy in the body. Also, stomach related diseases gradually start disappearing. It also provides relief from mental stress, lethargy, fatigue and irritability etc.
