External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on September 12 suggested the BRICS group was formed as an antithesis to G7. Jaishankar, during an event in Geneva, said the G7 group didn’t let anyone else in, so India, Russia, China, Brazil and South Africa together formed BRICS which was expanded earlier this year and is expected to welcome more members.
