
If you are troubled by cough during winter season, then consume pineapple instead of medicines. This advice is not given by us but by an Ayurveda doctor. According to the doctor, pineapple works like a medicine for cough because it contains a wonderful enzyme called bromelain. This enzyme helps reduce inflammation, loosen mucus, suppress cough, and improve breathing.
Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar Savaliya has shared a video on her social media handle, in which she has told about the benefits of eating pineapple in cough. In this video, the doctor also told how much and how pineapple should be consumed. Apart from this, he also told other ways to get relief from cough.
Dr. Dixa told that to get relief from cough, people can eat three slices of pineapple a day. Apart from this, people can also drink fresh pineapple juice. The doctor has also advised people to drink pineapple juice mixed with honey, salt and black pepper.

Some other effective Ayurvedic remedies for cough/cold/viral
Gargle with turmeric and salt water: Take 250-300 ml water and add 1 tablespoon turmeric and half tablespoon salt and boil it for 5 minutes. When it becomes warm to touch, gargle with it and boost your immunity. You can gargle 3-4 times a day. This will make you feel less congested and your throat will somehow heal.
Consume fenugreek water: Boil 1 teaspoon fenugreek in 250 ml water for 5 minutes, filter and drink.
Consume Tulsi Tea: Boil 4-5 basil leaves in some water, filter and drink. If you want, you can also add honey (after it comes to room temperature) and ginger.
Consume this mixture: Take half teaspoon turmeric, half teaspoon dry ginger powder, 1 black pepper (freshly ground) or 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon pure honey. Mix it well and take it once a day 30 minutes before/after meals. It is best to consume it after the advice of an Ayurvedic doctor.
