CHENNAI: Samsung India Thozilalar Sangama trade union affiliated with CITUhas approached the Madras HC seeking direction to the Tamil Nadu labor department to register it under the Trade Union ActAdmitting the plea, Justice RN Manjula has directed the labor department to dispose of the application of the trade union in two weeks.
According to the petitioner, the formation of the union was informed to the Samsung management on June 27 to recognize it.The union has also given a charter of demands to the management on July 11. But the management did not recognize our union, and it did not come forward for talks.
