It was reported that this data was later leaked through the messaging platform Telegram. After this, the company filed a legal case against Telegram for allegedly helping in leaking this data.
The Madras High Court had ordered Telegram to block such chatbots and websites in the country that have made this data available online. Apart from this, Star Health has also filed a complaint against software company Cloudflare for providing services to websites hosting leaked data. In the last few years, cases of hackers breaking into companies’ databases have increased. In some of these cases, hackers had also demanded huge amounts of money for not leaking the data.
