UPPSC RO, ARO Prelims Exam Postponed: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) preliminary exams in response to demands from aspirants, according to reports from PTI.
The Commission also decided to conduct the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary examination using the previous format, opting not to introduce any new changes for this cycle.
Additionally, UPPSC has set up a dedicated committee to address concerns regarding the RO and ARO exams according to ANI. Student protests erupted outside the UPPSC office as aspirants pressed for the exams to be conducted in a single shift, citing fairness and consistency as their main concerns.
Initially, the Commission had scheduled the PCS preliminary exam for December 7 and 8, with the RO and ARO exams planned for December 22 and 23. However, the ongoing protests have prompted the UPPSC to reconsider these dates and to assess the structure of the RO. and ARO exams more thoroughly.
The newly-formed committee will review all facets of the RO, ARO Prelims Examination 2023 and is expected to provide a comprehensive report soon, as per statements from the Chief Minister’s Office.
UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar is set to meet with the protesting students to address their demands and concerns directly, aiming to find a balanced solution that respects both aspirants’ needs and institutional standards.
