Vivo to Soon Launch T3 Pro 5G in India, May Get 50 Megapixel Primary Camera

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo’s T3 Pro 5G will be launched in the country soon. It will replace the T2 Pro 5G introduced in September last year. The company has teased the design and key features of this smartphone. It may have a 50-megapixel primary camera.

A media report has stated that this smartphone can have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. It can be given a 5,500 mAh battery with 80 W FlashCharge wired charging support. T3 Pro 5G can have a dual stereo speaker unit. It was recently seen on the benchmarking website Geekbench. It has Processor It can have Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 as the processor. It can run on UI based on Android 14.

This smartphone will have a 3D curved display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness level of 4,500 nits. Its price can be less than Rs 2,5000, it can be brought as a rebranded version of iQOO Z9s Pro. iQOO Z9s Pro will be launched in the country this week.

In the first half of the current year, smartphone shipments grew by 7.2 percent year-on-year to around 6.9 crore units. In the second quarter, smartphone shipments grew by about 3.2 percent to around 3.5 crore units. According to a report by market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), many new smartphones have been launched in the second quarter. Most of these were in the mid-premium and premium segments. However, shipments of entry-level smartphones (priced below Rs 8,400) declined by 36 percent year-on-year in the second quarter. The market share of these segments has come down from 22 percent in the same quarter last year to around 14 percent. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has the highest share in this segment. It is followed by Poco and Realme. The entry-premium segment of smartphones (priced around Rs 16,800 to Rs 33,500) has seen the highest growth of 42 percent. China’s smartphone maker Oppo is leading in this. It is followed by Vivo and South Korea’s Samsung.
